Arulthiru TKS Subramaniam, fondly referred to as Ayya by countless people is a prescient guru who has attained self-realization. He was born in the year 1950 in Kulasekarapuram in Kanyakumari District to devout parents Thiru Sivadhanu Pillai and Tmt Dhanammal. Inspired into spiritualism even in his early youth, he accepted discipleship of Arulthiru Mahesh Yogi and Arulthanthai Vedathri Maharishi, the father of Mind Development. Married to Annai Subbulakshmi, he actively pursued spiritual heights even while immersing himself in marital life. Post his retirement from the Telecommunications Department where he held positions of responsibility, he is fully engaged in his spiritual pursuits.

His staunch Saivism and chaste Thamizh of the Naanjil native have drawn innumerable people towards his enlightening revelations. He has employed the “Pattarai” (Workshop) method, an effective tool providing the methodology for individuals to achieve self-realization and reach great personal heights.
